I Feel Cold
Warm day,
but I felt cold.
Hot shower,
but I still feel cold.
Scorching sauna,
but I feel cold.
Two blankets,
but I still feel cold.
Work's long hours
obscure wild flowers.
Morning paper's news
pour into me the blues.
Rushing driver's commute
in big hurry to computers re-boot.
Hunters of profit big game
played with an AOL screen name.
Windowless air.
Plastic wrapped food.
Devices need repair.
Caffeine flooded mood.
Electronic friends.
Energy guzzling life.
Smiling credit card lends.
Global war torn strife.
Truths buried so deep.
it's no wonder why
Ambiems # 1 for sleep.
So I'm feeling cold but
tomorrow I'll change.
Take it slow and then
take it slow some more.
But for right now
I'll take that third blanket
and tomorrow I'll get warm.
