Good Night Long Island
Sun draws down over land;window shade.
Moon glow illuminates ocean's horizon; night-light.
Puffy ,billowy clouds drift over land ; warm blankets.
Rocky shore and bay's water turn inky black as
sky's eyes shut and days final colors flash behind
closed lids darting brilliance of pinks, purples, oranges,
yellows as all things come together into one
the moment sleep takes hold of Long Island .
