Sunset on the Sound around seven.
I caught the boat's last fish around seven-thirty with
Dad and Joe, and the three travelers from Dublin .
The mate filleted my fish around eight.
We got back to the dock around eight-thirty.
I took the fillets home with me, around nine.
I heated up olive oil in a pan with garlic.
I dipped the fillets in egg, milk and bread crumbs.
When they hit the hot oil they curled.
The pan was perfectly hot and the crumbs crisped.
I arranged them on a plate with farm-stand sauteed
vegetables;carrots, celery, onions and mushrooms.
It was so beautiful. My meal was my smile.
