Call me Brother

Try this:
The next person you meet—stranger, family or friend—call them
“brother.”
There is some magic there.

Last night I called the attendant at a gas station Brother.
“Excuse me, my Brother, where is the bathroom?”
He gave me such specific directions. “Go to the back of the office,
open the door, turn left, the second door on the right is the bathroom.
The light switch is outside on the right, my Brother,” he said.  His
directions to the bathroom were better then MapQuest.
After he gave me change for the fill-up, I said, “Thank you, my
Brother.” Then he used Brother twice: “You’re welcome, Brother.
Drive safe, my Brother”

I liked it, finding this new Brother I never knew that I had.
I’m beginning to hear this Brother greeting used by others lately,
especially in New York City where I first picked it up.
I like to say it, and I think others like to hear it
