Cadillac on the Bowery
Bouwerie Bouwerie Lane Theatre.
They shortened the name to Bowery like they cut the size of Cadillacs in
half.

Car and old theatre soon will be gone— One recycled into metal scrap,
the other to condo or trendy shops.

Once upon a time driving a big ol’ Caddy blazed a story driven by,
and The Bowery chewed one up and spit it out
right onto the cracked and dirty  sidewalk.

Metallic green rust
bucket
parked on
cobblestone street,
darker green cracked
vinyl top,
a relic from the 70's
when big wheels
ruled these city
streets.

Now so lonely
parked next to
The Bowery
