| With his tremendous tail, he gathered up crop after crop and walked again across wide plains and mountain ranges, depositing the harvests in the midst of the starving people he had seen from his high vantage point. All the people in the world now knew about Godzilla and his miraculous trek across the globe, from Japan to China, across the Middle East and Europe, and southward towards Africa, where he witnessed the worst suffering and ecological damage on the planet. Godzilla now had learned about the history of the physical world, from the day the Earth was formed until the present, and the evolution of all its living species, as well as the organization of the universe and all its heavenly bodies. He could see that everything had a purpose, was supposed to be, and should continue to be, in accordance with the laws of nature and heaven above. But when Godzilla saw humans killing humans, this behavior was something he couldn’t understand. It did not fit with all of the information that he had absorbed and processed on his long march and all of his knowledge could not help him make logical sense of these unnatural actions, which were causing so much suffering and loss. He concluded that the dominant beings on this precious planet would prosper if they cooperated and stopped acting out in conflict with one another, behavior which was currently moving them nearer toward the ultimate point of assured extinction. When Godzilla came across humans fighting and using weapons to kill each other, he knew not how to act. With his superior size and colossal strength, he could easily have eliminated one foe or dispensed with the entire conflict with just a few swats of his mighty tail, but he thought, what would be the sense of that? I would be the same as them, or much worse. The mightiest weapons of the combatants were of no use against Godzilla; firing at him just made him stronger and bigger. The humans had no inkling of what to do in the presences of such power and greatness. Godzilla, with all his power and might, also had no inkling of what to do - the entire Internet couldn’t help him with what to do about stopping deadly warfare. So, Godzilla just remained still in the middle of the war zones. The warriors, in complete awe of the giant creature sending out signals containing the world’s knowledge, eventually stopped fighting. They felt so tiny and insignificant and they found themselves drawn toward the colossal Godzilla, to get a closer look. Full armies simply walked, rode, or sailed towards the amazing spectacle. They mingled amongst each other and traded stories they had heard of how Godzilla had collected food from areas on the Earth where it was plentiful and spread it to regions where it was scarcer. The word spread of other armies who had laid down their weapons and returned to their families, armies who had begun to follow Godzilla’s example by continuing the collection and distribution of the world’s resources to stop the spread of famine and disease. All the while, Godzilla just stood, motionless, in the middle of the world’s worst war. He remained calm, taking in all the planet’s information from radio and television and internet signals that were beaming around the globe from satellites revolving constantly around the Earth. He knew everything that was happening in the world at every single moment in time. |
